Dating back to the 19th century the Arlberg region of which St Anton is a part of is known as the "cradle of Austria" where skiers have enjoyed exhilarating skiing and a fantastic ski holiday atmosphere for over a century.
A famous St Anton resort landmark is the museum in the Arlberg-Kandahar-House which has recently celebrated a new era with a recent renovation. Opened in 1978, it has given visitors and historians an overview of the history of skiing in the Arlberg area, regarded as the “Cradle of Alpine skiing”, with information about culture and customs as well as the development of how St Anton became a household skiing name..
The Museum St Anton am Arlberg also doubles as a top restaurant serving homemade cake, fine wine or a gourmet dinner, where you are warmly invited to enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of traditional Tyrolean dining.
